These past few months have been nothing short of change and challenges. We at Gifted created a new section of gifting activities that suit all budgets and the new normal of working from home, which is precisely why we titled this activity set “Work From Home.”

These activities are opportunities to connect with your employees and show them your care, support, and appreciation outside of the office during these trying times. We’ve compiled some ideas on how to maximize the digital employee gifting experience.

Work From Home: Food Delivery

Nothing brings people together like food does. We offer gift cards to top food delivery apps including UberEats, Grubhub, and DoorDash, along with restaurant chains across the US. This is the perfect opportunity to host a catered team lunch via Zoom, where teammates can catch up without needing to prepare a meal beforehand.

If you just hired a new employee, you can send them a gift card to Panera Bread or Starbucks so they can start their first day with a fresh cup of coffee, just like what they would experience in the office.

Work From Home: Home Office

The boundary between working and home life is blurred when some people use their couch or dining room table for both family time and jumping between virtual meeting rooms. By sending a gift to a furniture or decoration shop, your employees can design their own workspace that will allow them to focus and create separation between daily activities. For starter workspaces, a gift to Staples, Office Depot, or Target will get them started with a good desk and chair. For employees who already have the basics, they can get cabinets, desk supplies, gadgets, and even plants from BestBuy, TJ Maxx, Homegoods, Amazon, West Elm, and Home Depot, to name a few.

Work From Home: Hiking and Workouts

Nothing refreshes the mind like a good breath of fresh air. In times of social distancing, hikes on trails is a good way to get outdoors without needing to be near a crowd. Encourage your employees to explore the great outdoors with a gift card for gear from REI, Dicks Sporting Goods, and Columbia.

If your teammates are based in a city, a workout challenge will also invigorate them. There are hundreds of workout video series on YouTube — from pilates to bodyweight cardio — that you can motivate your team to try out while apart, together. Set fifteen minutes aside after work in a team calendar to keep each other accountable and refreshed. You can send your employees a giftcard to a sports store for athletic wear, sneakers, water bottles, and more to get them motivated for these sessions.

Any event or surprise will help deliver the culture that was once cultivated in the office to the home.

And Gifted is here to help you do just that. The free gifting platform syncs with your HRIS system, and delivers instantly redeemable gifts directly to your employee’s phone or e-mail. It’s a way to share appreciation, hope, and positivity during a time when many are adjusting to working from home. Sign up for free today at www.gifted.co
